Cheapest golf passes in winter-golf states
If you can golf most of the year, a pass has more months to earn its price back. This guide lists the lowest-priced passes and cards in the 8 winter-golf states in our data (AZ, CA, FL, GA, NM, NV, SC, TX), with the break-even where the issuer publishes the rates.
How we defined "winter-golf states"
This is our own grouping, not an official one: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Nevada, South Carolina and Texas, the states in our data where golfers commonly keep playing through the cooler months. It covers 15 metros and 27 passes. Weather still varies by city and year, so check the course's own winter schedule.

The lowest prices belong to junior and senior passes. The adult passes cost more, such as Austin's GolfATX Plus Membership at $2,400 (green fees $0 on Mon-Thu), which takes 69 rounds to break even in our typical scenario. Prices that look cheap on the table are often limited by age, residency or days of the week.
A few metros worth a look
- San Antonio: the TrailPass is $84.95 and breaks even in 5 rounds at Brackenridge Park on a Monday-to-Thursday standard round.
- Las Vegas: the Angel Park players card is $139.95 and breaks even in 12 rounds against the Nevada resident rate. Durango Hills sells a $129 card for 2026 but we did not find its per-round rates.
- Houston: the HGA membership is $100, and the weekday scenario takes 25 rounds because it saves less per round.
- Atlanta: the Fore Pass is $30 a month with a four-billing-cycle minimum, so its break-even is 5 rounds per month.
What is different about year-round golf
- Rates change by season. Phoenix publishes a peak sheet for Feb 2 to May 31, 2026 and a separate shoulder-season sheet for Sept 7 to Oct 18, 2026, so the dollar saving per round differs by month. Our Phoenix card page lists each scenario.
- Snowbird products exist. Myrtle Beach's Snowbird Passport costs $66 and runs December 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027, a window built for winter visitors rather than residents.
- Calendar-year expiry is common. Tucson's 2026 city card and pass both expire Dec 31, 2026. See the Dec 31 guide.
- Residency can change the price. Phoenix, Austin and Nashville all publish different non-resident prices; read our non-resident guide.
How to pick one
- List the months you will really play. In a mild-winter state that can be 10 or 12, not 6.
- Pick the card or pass whose valid days and times match your tee times.
- Divide the price by the saving per round, then compare with the rounds you play in the term.
- If you will only be there part of the year, check whether the issuer sells a short-term pass.
Use the calculator to test your own scenario, or browse by state: Arizona, Texas, Florida, Nevada, Georgia, California, New Mexico and South Carolina.
Note: a lower price is not always the better deal. The cheapest rows are cards with small savings per round or passes restricted by age.
Numbers on this page are computed from the ParPass database, where every row links to the issuer's official page. Prices change; confirm with the issuer before you buy. Break-even uses the first listed rate scenario on each pass page. See the methodology. This is general information, not financial advice.
